I'm not a pro or even an avid amateur, but I wanted a good camera to take pictures of my artwork as well as the usual family and friends pictures. At some point I'd also like to take very closeup pictures of flowers and bugs.
I was planning to get just the camera and 1 lens, but this was a great package at a great price. The extra items included were not just filler. They were all things that you would reasonably expect to need or use. You are getting the package for less than the price of the camera and two lenses.
